Paddy Leitsch - Ninja Guitarist
My name is Paddy Leitsch. I make music. I'm not a marketer. I'm not a manager. I'm not a booking agent. I have no interest in any of these other things. My passion in life is letting my heart glide among notes and rests according to the time playing in my soul. My thrill is getting my fingers on my beat up PRS and conjuring worlds in between the spark of my digits and the nickel on the strings.
I AM an artist and I AM, very specifically, a guitarist musician.
I collect the sounds in my head that are put there by the world around me and I work VERY hard to bring these sounds in to reality in order to share them with other human beings.
While I don't believe in manifest destiny, or any destiny for that matter, I believe in doing what you feel you came to this existence to do. Just because someone says that you shouldn't due to the fact that:
a.) no one else has done it before
b.) it won't work
c.) it's crazy
d.) your hat is way too yellow
e.) it isn't good enough
f.) any and all of the above or worse
is nonsense and that is all part of a system to which I no longer subscribe. Life is short. Granted that's not my most original thought, but it's true. Get busy doing what you're here to do. If you're not sure what that is, spend some time listening to your heart. If you've never done THAT before... well, just spend a few minutes here and there in a bit of silence with yourself and see what comes of it.
This, my fellow riders of the amazing rocket ship we call Earth, my fellow partakers in this drama we call existence, is my present to you. These songs are the sound some of the feelings I get from being here. Maybe you get them too. Maybe not. This is me opening myself to you. Sometimes it's a matter of sculpting the notes so they caress your ear in a new way. Sometimes it's a matter of me playing 900 notes a minute to show you what I'm saying. I've been obsessed with recorded sound since I was 6 and guitar since I was 11 or 12. This is how I communicate best. There's no translating it. It doesn't "mean" anything outside of what you hear.
I came here to make music. I have no idea how or why and right now I'm uninterested in trying to answer either of those definitions. I simply want to get on with the music. That's what I'm going to do from here on in until it's time to do otherwise.
I sincerely hope you enjoy this music and that it inspires you to do something fresh and crazy (good crazy, not bad crazy - I'm talking to you Charles Manson!) today. Get on with your own music. Your audience awaits.
Wishing you miles of peace, love, hope and unbreakable high e strings,
Paddy
